The safety and health of our employees and guests is our top priority and we will work with you to ensure that your time at Detroit Selfie Museum is a safe, stress free experience.

Based on guidance from health authorities, the CDC and government agencies we’ve implemented health and safety measures for your visit to provide you with the safest experience possible. Our spaces are deep cleaned daily before opening using official CDC recommended and EPA registered cleaning solutions to fight against the virus and throughout the day our team members are trained to disinfect all touch points. Additionally hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the studio for personal use.

As things are constantly evolving in Michigan; we will monitor the situation closely and communicate our full guidelines for attendees regularly. We are erring on the side of extreme caution in order for you to have peace of mind at all times.

DO YOUR PART!

We ask that you not attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone in your party:

• Within 14 days before attending the event you have tested positive, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;

• Within 48 hours prior to attending the festival, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention);

• Within 14 days prior to attending the event, you have travelled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.

We allow the use of DSLR and personal cameras for use. Professional photographers must contact for clearance of additional equipment and lighting that they’d like to use within the museum. All professional photographers must also purchase a photographer ticket. Professional photographer tickets are permitted only when shooting a client. Professional photographer tickets are not available for personal use.

Yes! DSM was designed to appeal to all age levels, however children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the museum without adult supervision and must be accompanied by an adult the entire time. Children are not allowed to walk around unattended or “play” in the museum. Please be advised there are 2 installations that we consider “mature” and ask that adults monitor all children in their reservation.

We strongly encourage our guests to buy tickets in advance using our website to guarantee your desired date and time-slot, however walk-ins are welcome with time slots being subject to availability. Time slots are limited to 30 guests at a time and are booked in 30-90 minute increments. It is important that you arrive 10 minutes early to ensure that you begin your experience on time. Late arrivals will still be admitted however your session will not be extended to make up for lost time.

All sales are final however we may allow you to reschedule your timeslot with discretion. We will not issue refunds for late arrivals or cancellations so please arrive 10 minutes early.

Yes, we have 8 changing rooms and a beauty bar for quick hair and make-up touch ups to ensure you are photo shoot FRESH! Unlimited outfit changes are permitted but please note, your session does not pause for wardrobes changes. It is highly recommended you purchase a 90-minute session if you plan on changing your clothes multiple times as all sessions will promptly end at their designated times.

We are conveniently located inside Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI on the 2nd level near the Apple store, above the Child’s Playscape. You may also easily access our space by entering through the upper level mall entrance near parking lot pole 31.

Public restrooms are not available however there are two public restrooms in close proximity. Please be sure to stop at the restrooms prior to your arrival as photo sessions will not be paused for restroom breaks.

Absolutely NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES are allowed in the studio with the exception of booked private parties. Please be sure to dispose of any drink or food items prior to entering the facility.

While we encourage you to unlock your imagination and create freely, please keep in mind DMS is a family friendly environment so dressing appropriately at all times is mandatory. If you have to question whether or not your wardrobe choices may be inappropriate, you may want to reconsider wearing it. Please note, we reserve the right to refuse entry and ask your party to leave the studio if we feel you are dressed inappropriately or offensively.
